What is WorldOS?
WorldOS is the AI OS for simulated worlds, powered by Civilization 1, our world model for human behavior and social simulation. Every world is a living simulation: chat with characters, watch social feeds react, trade in-world stocks, browse a generated web, and steer it with free-form actions. Anyone can create a world, compose it from apps like a desktop OS, develop their own apps, and publish for others to simulate and remix.
How it works
- 1
Pick a world
Browse community-made worlds — history, romance, sci-fi, war, fandom and more — or start from a remix.
- 2
Simulate
Type anything. The AI advances the story, characters answer, stats move, and every module reacts in real time.
- 3
Create & share
Build your own world: install apps, define characters and rules, then publish it for everyone to simulate and remix.
FAQ
Is WorldOS free?+
WorldOS is free during the beta. Later, simulations will run on credits you can purchase.
Can I create my own world without coding?+
Yes. The world editor is no-code: write the setting, add characters, install apps from the marketplace, set win/lose rules, and publish. Developers can go further and build custom widget apps on the app SDK.
What does Remix mean?+
Remix copies any public world — its settings, characters and installed apps — into your account so you can change anything and publish your own version.
Is there auto-save? Do I need to save manually?+
No manual saving needed — every run auto-saves to the cloud after each turn. Close it anytime and pick up right where you left off from My Sims. Each run is its own save, and you can rewind the timeline to any earlier turn.
